Vericode Track and Trace

Vericode is complete range of solutions for carton Mark&Verify machines and aggregation systems for Pharmaceutical Serialization. VeriCode solutions is the result of more than ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical lines for the in-line printing and verification of variabile data and 2D codes. Our System includes print and inspection as un only process: the VeriCode Software, entirely developed by Metapack, allows to manage any aspect of the print and camera set-up from the same HMI, regardless of the specific printing system adopted.

Vericode software

VeriCode software is conceived to work with the usual HP based printing systems (“thermal ink jet”) but is also prepared for other printing systems like laser, DOD UV and so on. Camera inspection is based on COGNEX vision systems, being Metapack a Certified System Integrator (CSI) of Cognex.

VeriCode systems is 21CFR-Part11 compatible.

Mark&verify machines: the Vericode range

Since 2007 Metapack produces a wide range of Mark&Verify machines and solutions for the pharmaceutical market.

Vericode machines range:

TTE – Top version for the serialization and application of TE labels, with Positive Transport for sped up from 20 to 450 ppm
TTF – Top compact version for the serialization of cartons with Positive Transport – speed up 400 ppm
TTV – Compact version with vacuum-based transport for productions over a wider format range – Speed up to 300 ppm
TT-SI – Semi-automatic for serialisation over the widest range of cartons’ dimensions – mostly used for small production batches.

VERICODE TTE

Top version for the serialization and application of TE labels, with Positive Transport for sped up from 20 to 450 ppm

The TTE machine is the most popular model among the VeriCode range of Mark&Verify machines for Pharmaceutical Serialization and it is the result of more than ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical lines for the in-line printing and verification of variabile data and 2D codes, with print and inspection are managed as one only process.

Conceived with a positive transport system with servo-driven flighted belts, the TTE model guarantees print accuracy at any speed within 20-450 cartons per minute.

The VeriCode HMI Software, entirely developed by Metapack, allows to manage any aspect of the print and camera set-up from the same HMI, regardless of the specific printing system adopted. Among the key SW features, the agile management of print and camera layout that facilitates the setup of recipes and their management.

VeriCode machines are available with a proprietary L1-L2 management system that is open to third-parties L3 Infrastructures. As well, the TTE model is available to integrate any third-party L1 serialization management system. This flexibility and “open” approach to integrate third-party L2-L3 solutions is well appreciated as a future-proof feature.

Vericode TTE , as all Vericode machines, was developed in accordance with recent GMP guidelines and offers everything that you can expect from a modern inline coding system.

VERICODE TTF

Top compact version for the serialisation of cartons with Positive Transport - speed up 400 ppm

The TTF machine is most compact, high-speed VeriCode machine.

As per the TTE model, it features a positive transport system with servo-driven flighted belts, for print accuracy at any speed within 20-400 cartons per minute.

The VeriCode HMI Software, entirely developed by Metapack, allows to manage any aspect of the print and camera set-up from the same HMI, regardless of the specific printing system adopted. Among the key SW features, the agile management of print and camera layout that facilitates the setup of recipes and their management.

All general “VeriCode features apply.  This model can board up to two concurrent Mark&Verify stations and can be optionally supplied complete of:

  • Integrated Vignette application on the top of the cartons
  • Infeed module with CheckWeigher and dedicated reject box, managed within the same
    machine HMI
  • Double Reject Box

VERICODE TTV

Compact version with vacuum-based transport for productions over a wider format range – Speed up to 300 ppm

The Vericode TTV model is the most flexible and compact version of machine capable of printing and verifying variable data and 2D codes on the widest range of pharmaceutical cartons, with the printing and machine vision processes managed as one integral system thanks to the VeriCode software, fully developed by Metapack.

Print and control can be done of the side or on the top of the carton, with no-tool change over  and in few minutes.

The main feature of the VL design is the carton transportation system which integrates an aligning side-belts section followed by a vacuum conveying section. This solution allows to process a wide range of cartons, very different in dimensions, in a stable and reliable way.

Print can be on the flap or on the top of the carton, with no-tool change over reduced to few minutes.

The encoder tracking based on the servomotor encoder allows to track the carton all along the print and verification process. At the end of the transport, a sensor checks that the correct input-output sequence is maintained in all the situations.

All general “VeriCode features apply.  This model can board up to two concurrent Mark&Verify stations and can be optionally supplied complete of:

  • Integrated Vignette application on the top of the cartons

Semi-automatic for serialisation over the widest range of cartons’ dimensions – mostly used for small production batches

Vericode TT-SI is a complete Serialization machines for one single product or small batches. Vericode TT-SI is a compact module that combines all necessary functions in a portable device and easily integrates into your existing production environment but also a comprehensive system solution that gives you the flexibility to adapt work- flows.

VERICODE TT-SI was developed in accordance with recent GMP guidelines and offers everything you can expect from a modern manual coding system.
